On the South of the land takes place the main park of the new district of Gu’an. It has a curve breaking the orthogonal North South / East West urban frame. We decided to follow this shape, inserting the project in its environment and creating a distinctive building. We settled the offices between two curved screens. The main screen on the South is treated with a “gradient” of stone strips and louvers to express the lightness of the building. On the North part of the site we placed the public functions, facing the city. We created small urban buildings with a different identity for each function. They are linked by a curved, glazed, and covered pedestrian street which aims to become a strong public space. I did the concept and schematic design, establishing the volumes and the plans of this project. The facades were carried on by another colleague as I moved to work on the neighboring hotel project.
