Placing the natatorium and the gymnasium on the northern and Southern corners of the site, we located the stadium to be a feature at the beginning of the urban axis. Featuring a unique facade with concrete tree-like columns on the back and an oblique arch and glazed facade on the front, I designed the stadium to open it to this urban axis. The gigantic front arch is a welcoming gate used as a structural element to hang the roof and the facade. I designed the gymnasium’s and natatorium’s facades to complement the stadium’s back facade. As my first stadium project, I redrew all the technical drawings of the bowl, gaining a comprehensive understanding of stadium drawings.
