The Cainiao Cloud Valley campus main gate is a sight to behold. It’s a gate that looks like it’s straight out of a sci-fi movie, with a design that’s as light as a cloud and as gentle as a hill. The arch in the center is the perfect finishing touch, adding a touch of elegance and grandeur to the entire structure. The gate is designed to cover car parking and bicycle entrances on both sides, making it a truly functional structure. The two ears gently rise to form the entrance arch, creating a sense of calm and tranquility. This futuristic gate was the result of a successful collaboration on a landscape competition. As the developer of this small structure, I worked closely with different contractors to provide them with necessary drawings like flat panelisation. The gate is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by mid-2024. As you walk through the gate, you can’t help but feel a sense of awe and wonder, making it a truly unforgettable experience.
