Tanmen National South China Sea Museum

Hainan has always been an important place for the Chinese navy. Based on the story of Zheng He, our concept aims to reflect the great history of Chinese naval exploration and trade. Therefore, our museum resembles a traditional Chinese junk. It expresses the trip that the visitor will do, discovering the South China Sea. The building is gently curved to follow the strength lines of the site. It is decomposed into segments corresponding to the different exhibition areas.
